Photography is a wonderful tool to tell a story and combined with words or audio it is unbeatable.  Stills stop the world in ways video can not.  The feelings conveyed give the story real power.  This is an exciting time to be a photojournalist.  The internet has released boundaries and added dimensions to the field.

My career started in high school and then moved to a local bi-weekly.  After a 12 year vacation I returned to photojournalism.  The work started with freelancing in Mississippi for several magazines and a local paper.  Currently, I am working at a daily in Louisiana. The pace of a daily is much more to my liking.  Without a camera in my hands, I am not whole.  I look forward to seeing where the road leads from here.
